Support the Film

Help bring “threads” to the world!

Surayia and some of the women of Arshi

Women artisans, once destitute young mothers, have supported their families over the past 30 years, stitch by stitch. Just as each stitch has made a difference in their lives, so every donation you make — small or large — will help us to celebrate their accomplishments and bring the film to communities around the  world.

Please make your check or money order payable to International Documentary Association, and write Threads-3732 on the memo line.  Send to:  Threads, c/o Kantha Productions LLC, PO Box 143, Lakebay, WA 98349-0143.

Donations are tax-deductible for U.S. persons.

We welcome donations in Bangladesh currency as well.  Please contact us to find out how you can help.

Thanks to the support of generous donors around the world, we have completed the film!  Now we are focused on making sure that Threads is seen by the widest possible audience.  Over the next three months we aim to raise $25,000 to:

  • take Threads to Bangladesh so that this inspiring story can be seen widely there
  • pay for film festival entries
  • design and print publicity and press materials
  • revamp our website
  • have DVDs and BluRay discs made
  • fund production of a Digital Cinema Package file for festival screenings

Tell a friend!  Spread the word on Facebook, Twitter or other social media.

The International Documentary Association (IDA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is the fiscal sponsor for Threads, and all contributions to the film made through IDA are tax-deductible for U.S. persons to the full extent provided by law. Employers may match contributions as well.
